Since 2005 our business has seen tremendous growth, from a local Home Improvement
Contractor to a full fledged General Contractor, Licensed both in Louisiana Commercial
and Residential Construction.
Roofing Louisiana General Contractors participated, as many did, in the rescue and
recovery of the people and communities (our friends and neighbors) of South Louisiana
after the catastrophes of Hurricane Katrina and Rita.
About Billy Savely - President of Roofing Louisiana
Billy Savely, President of Roofing Louisiana General Contractors, LLC has been in
business in Lafayette since 1984. Savely has owned and operated successful businesses
in Acadiana and knows the local people, culture, and economy.
Savely has seen Lafayette grow from a small oil town as a young man (when Ambassador
Caffery did not exist) to helping rebuild Lafayette after Hurricane Lilly. Then
the worst happened to Louisiana, Hurricanes Katrina and Rita struck the Gulf-Coast
in 2005 and changed the lives of so many people.

"What the world saw on TV, we lived through, my family is from New Orleans. My staff
and I witnessed the devastation, we saw the horror people went through, those storms
were two of the nation's worst national disasters, ever" says Savely.
Early in life, a mentor taught me, that "when there is chaos there is opportunity",
and how true that was after the smoke cleared (post hurricanes). Hundreds of thousands
of people lost their homes and businesses. Once we caught our breath, we realized
that a MASSIVE reconstruction / rebuilding boom must begin.

Savely takes his business and industry serious, ushering in a new error / breed
of "trust-worthy" contractors that consumers and developers can trust. Our industry
has a stigma concerning the "fly by night contractors", but we are changing that.
There is enough business out there that everyone can earn an honest living.
Innovation and Creativity are gifts Savely feels he is blessed with. "All of my
life I have wanted to invent things, not for the money, but to make a difference.
One afternoon Savely was on a roof top in New Orleans and saw a small hole, no more
than 10 inches in diameter. Knowing that the homeowner had clawed their way through
that attic hole to survive, and the countless stories of all the people that died
in attics, it hit him - NO ONE should die in their attic. The "Home Roof Hatch"
was born.
The Home Roof Hatch is a life saving product that should be on all homes in coastal
